| Since I can't have USAA, I've carried esurance (esurance.com) since they started several years ago (but not on the Z... I use Haggerty for the Z), and have never had to make a claim until this past weekend on my wife's 2005 Civic SI. A truck kicked up a big rock and cracked her windshield (in the drivers field of view) pretty badly. I have a friend here locally that also has the same car, and had his glass replaced before (with an aftermarket piece) and because of the extreme rake of the windshield on this car, it was wavy looking. I told this to the claim rep on the phone, and he said they will cover 100% of the replacement cost, even with OEM Glass.
They set up the appointment, and the glass company came out to my house this afternoon, replaced it with new seals and glass (all OEM) and it looks great, and even though I have $500 deductible on said car, they cover front glass replacement including all deductible! Way to go esurance! Just thouht I'd throw that out there, as I hear all these horror stories about insurance on here... I've never had an issue with these guys. It's $80/month to insure that Civic SI and my 98 Accord EX with full coverage/$500 ded. (Married over 25, no tickets (anymore), no accidents). On the topic of Z's and insurance, to keep it Z-related, I'm going to have to get my Z re-appraised for Haggerty for my "agreed" value with my RB26 swap and I'm not looking forward to my premiums increasing substantially. :(
